German Wedding Helmet

Well this is my first one I have been able to get my hands on and I have fallen in love with it. I have seen them before on GHW and I have been trying to find one ever since. I believe they were wedding helmets for the wife of the german solider to keep, like a sweetheart badge.

This little one has lost most its paint but it still looks great. The paint left looks like a nice dark green colour. When they were intact they even had little decals on the side, and they made them for each branch of service.

Now I have to find more of them! If anyone knows where another one is......

Those are great, never realised they were wedding gifts, i now know what my miniature Picklehaube was for which was given to me a few years ago, i thought it was for a childs puppet but it looked too good for a toy

Well I jagged this one for $29 but the other one I saw last year was around the $70 mark. One of those tough items that done come up all that often
