Really great collection, really nice to know that some young people are still interested in history and history related items.

We would all love to see those medals! Out of 25 pieces you are bound to have something really nice.

I believe that your helmet is a ground dug piece that has had an oxaclic acid bath with an original liner and rivit replacement.

I took a closer look at the Reichs Krieg flag you have pictured, no one else commented on it but it is a reproduction. The ropes on these should ALWAYS be a darker tan hemp construction. The material is not correct either. I agree with all the other comments on the helmet...be patient and buy one from a reputable dealer.

Sorry to disappoint but I talked to the woman that hand carried it back from berlin in 1946. She grabbed it off of a nazi headquarter building before the russians came in and burned it to the ground. You can think its a repo but it is 100% real.

Your flag is in very nice condition which may give the appearance of a reproduction to some. I do not see anything to make me consider it a modern copy.

The material of this flag is fine-when you enlarge the portion that is under the pith helmet or the medals case and blow it up,you can see this. Also, the construction is proper-with the end edge being multiple stitched. It is not a Kriegsmarine battle flag, and so may look abit different in some small aspects from what people are used to seeing, with the majority Being Naval flags, but it looks straight to me. It's a nice looking flag and is just the perfect size to display with a collection. So many of the battleflags are Huge! This is an ideal managable size. William

Sorry to dissapoint you my 16 year old, naive friend. I have been collecting German militaria for over 18 years and can spot a repro flag a mile away. EVERYONE has a story as to where items came from, go to any gun/militaria show and see for yourself, they are packed full of liars and thieves.
Your flag also does not have the reinforcment patches sewn in the corners which these flags have.

Hey, not my loss, believe what you want to believe. Take that flag to anyone experienced with flags and they will tell you the same....I would tell you to post better, close up pics of the rope and material of the flag on this forum, but see a few "experts" have already proved my point that a lot (certainly not all) people on this forum have their own, uneducated, inexperienced opinions. ANYBODY that knows flags can see the rope is not correct.
No offense, I am not trying to be mean, but you have A LOT to learn before you seriously get ripped off by someone else that has a story for you.
