grave marker helmets

Article about: anyone know if the helmets which marked graves where just left there to rust after the units which burried the soldier left.?back in germany as u know many wore french and russian helmets wi

    I'd agree that these helmets must have been used as markers.
    I had never heard or seen this before ! Thanks for enlightening

    Luis 22 if u are ever selling the snow camo helmet i might be interested.i have been looking for one with plenty of the whitewash left.i have two but they have very small amounts of snow camo left?

    You need to keep an eye on Ebay there is a digger called Jevgenejis he is the one getting these every now an then...I bought these two from him...

    Luis thanks for the tip .im in the uk ,do you mean to look at the usa ebay?that looks like a nice dd ss helmet.the hole is very large though??

    I wish it was mine...the hole was probably made with a big tool or just simply broke over time. Jevgenis is in Latvia so you have a better opportunity since you will pay less shipping cost...
