Yup spotted it picture 3, look at the wear on the front and you see it
At least you answering your own questions hehe.
Hope you didnt pay much hard earned money for this.
For us not so informed, what is the problem here?
I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss this one. The pictures are not very good so it is impossible for me to evaluate the decal with certainty, but there are many oddball Luftschutz helmets. I have seen L/S decals on brass fire helmets, leather fire helmets, a Berndorfer helmet, myriad civil and combat style shells, etc. I don't see the usual fake Luftschutz decal here, and the more I look at it, the more I lean towards it being good. Clear close ups of the decal would help, with focus shots of the tips of the wings, the letters, the acorns, the tops of the wings, etc. I would like to examine this one with a 30 loupe and I am interested to hear what guys who really focus on civic helmets like Chris have to say about this one. Don Lust would be a great source to give this one the once over as well. Anyway, just my 2 cents, Jim G.
Jim look at this, why would this part of decal be still intact with that much paint lost
