Can someone tell me if this is a real or a fake decal?, looks to me that the swastika has some kind of background, there are 2 different types of silver in it and when in sweep over the decal with my finger, then there are certain spots that i feel the decal... Is there a chance that it is a sticker? I wish to be 100% sure that it is a original helmet or not... Can someone help me?
    Thanks!
    Grtz from Belgium

I'm not saying that the decal in not real, because honestly I don't know, but one thing that sticks out to me is that the head of the eagle is not under the air vent. it looks like the decal is a little bit to far to the left. like I said, I don't know if this info helps anyone in any way but that's one thing that makes me wonder.

To me it looks like a fake water tranfert decal, lacking the discoloration in the white, but thats just my thought. How does it look under a good strong loupe?

It seems like it was scratched to add some aging effect
and i think that the helmet used to be an apple green color ?

I'am not of the opiniun that the decal can be judged by scratchings... The helmet indeed hasn't got the flat color as expected, but it surely got the original "feld-grau" color, helmet may have been shined or been varnished.
