Whilst browsing the internet the other day I came across this helmet; the asking price is £30, but apparently postage is 40 euros. It's quite badly damaged, and I wondered - is this worth it? Thanks, Robbie.

It is worth whatever you are willing to pay for it, my friend! That would be the typical price for a relic helmet like this.
Good answer! Hmm, so £65 would be a good price... I can't really decide at this juncture, I mean, it has clear decal and some of the original paint but it's got a massive hole in it. Would you pay that much if it were offered, do you think?
I would not personally, only because I would rather put that kind of money toward a different item in better condition, or keep saving until I could afford a helmet in much nicer condition. Don't fall into the trap of looking at helmets like this with regards to resale value, as the items that get passed on are the ones in good condition. Only collect relic helmets if you intend to keep them and appreciate them for what they are!
relics do go for that much but im with Mo on this one in my case i would save up even if it was for a relic one without so much damage

Thanks for the advice everyone - I won't buy the helmet, I'll wait until I can afford a worthy example. Much appreciated!
I like him!
Any chance of getting a link?
cheers

OK!
I have got it.
Just thinking there is a fault when seeing the other prices...

Looking at the frail condition the metal is in, you have to guage what damage will occur during shipping, you could be left with much more damage and very little helmet, if it was a local sale and you were determined to have it perhaps its worth it, personally i wouldnt risk it in this condition
Try to get it for 30!
