Pulled this one off the shelf tonight. This is probably the helmet with the least wear in my collection or the "minty-ist" if that could even be a word. A basic factory Eisenhüttenwerke-Thale example in size 64 with lot number 1275. Back in the year 2000 a fellow military officer offered to sell it to me. It was a level above any other helmet in my collection at the time purely in terms of condition, as all others in my little pile all had some higher degree of wear/saltiness to them. So, I jumped in the car and drove from D.C. where I was working down to Quantico where he was stationed, and picked it up.

A classic Todd. Nice rough paint, minty decal, great liner/strap!

    What's not to like!

Let me know when you want to get rid of it!
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Thanks Michael! If I were to get rid of it, then I'd just be left with my assortment of scratched and rusty lids. Have to have one diamond in the coal pile!

Yeah, but that one was ex-pen-sive.
