Heer M40 SD - Too good to be true?

Article about: Hi, I'm looking for a nice Heer helmet and just found this. I know it isn't the greatest, but it is listed for \\$800 (USD) I've seen plenty of similar helmets being offered at \\$1200 and up. W

    As promised, here a some pictures As you can see, I was able to find an original chinstrap for it. I really like the end result! Tomorrow I shall go and order a custom glass display case for it. I also bought a humidity reader and will use it to keep the humidity at a viable level for both the steel and leather.

    Reich, I believe your chinstrap is not an original.
    Could you post a pic oif the buckle.........?

    Reich IMO your chinstrap looks out of place as it does not match the condition age and over all appearance of the rest of your M-40 I would have tried to source a more worn looking example.

    Thank you for the feedback! Most people seem to agreeing with you. Personnally it doesn't bother me but I can see why it would look out of place to some people.

    you could age the leather a little to make it look more "broken in" for that used look
