Heer M42, ET62, #1525

Article about: Lets have some opinions on this noodle protector. As stated, Heer M42, ET62, #1525. Decal removed rather cleanly. It was also difficult to photograph, but it is double dome stamped. Remains

    I really like the helmet, and I haven't seen a chinstrap marked that way either.
    That is very cool IMO.

    Its a shame the strap is so tight , its very strange having makers marks on the buckle strap , at first i thought it could be a LLG Schlesien but i am under the impression they only made them during 1939, although it could be an in period replacement , is there no way the leather can be gently teased off the stud , not advised i know but this one should be looked into a little deeper,as its a curio

    It's been a little while since I have inspected the strap, but I remember hesitating messing with the strap. I do think its just a little too tight to pop it off for a close inspection without risking damage to the leather. Ill see what I can do when I get home from work today or tomorrow. It is a very intriguing stamping.
