Hey Mad's I am by no mean's the most qualified to comment on this helmet but the fact it has an early reinforced liner fitted to a late war M42 raise's my suspicions. I would say original but messed with the replaced liner. Cheers, Sean.

Hey Mad's. Also I just noticed if you look at the front facing pic of the helmet the liner pins are different so again that would reinforce my suspicions of this one being messed with. Cheers, Sean.

I would pass, it looks like a Strache decal on an M42 (blurry pic too....) that's a sign of a postwar applied decal and as been said the liner is replaced.

Hi Mads ,Sean nailed it on the liner and Dougs nailed it on the decal, this is one to avoid! Leon.

Agree in general with all that has been said, and I would pass on this one too. But don't forget.......Werner Zahn made aluminum reinforced liners through 1943 and we don't know the date on this liner......

    Cheers,
    Terry
