I honestly wish I lived in the states. A lid like that in the UK would be lucky to fetch £400. I have the best looking untouched KM M40 SD you will ever find for £600. I wish i could get that money for that kind of lid. A I would like to see clearer pictures of the decal, but it AIN't a KM

As I am not a helmet collector, I am unsure what KM signifies, and am I to understand you have a helmet for sale?

Oh, I knew KM was Kriegsmarine, I was alitlle thrown by "it ain't no KM" (your meaning of course was it does not compare in quality to a KM) What is it about the decal that is concerning?

OK, OK , I think I am putting this together, KM helmets had the gold toned decal (in some you can see the flakes) so the question is, is this a gold patina on a Heer decal or a fake decal, I have researched some other helmets and the decals seem a little larger than this one? Am I closing in on the concern for this lid?
