Helmet maker query

Hi Chaps, I would be obliged if you could have a look at the attached shell. I know that it is not an original SS lid but I have a query with the maker stamp. The shell is large at size 68 and the only markings that I can find on the shell are on the rear skirt. The marking reads

Any ideas who made it? and is it WW2 period?

ww2 yes. is the model from 1942 .

Hi zero, thanks mate. I know it is an M42 but I was wondering who the maker is. I have not seen these markings before.
