Help With Helmet

Article about: Put it on ebay if you want to sell it. For the value of the helmet though (\\$200 usd max I would say), I would think sentimental value was higher. Shame.

Looks genuine - a prewar firemans helmet. Neck guard and chinstrap may be post war but it is still neat!
    Thanks for showing,
    Dan

    Shame to sell family history...

It would have more value to a collector of Fire fighting items, rather than a military collector....I'd pay 150-200 for it purely as a nice variation on the military type, however it may be worth more to a collector of firefighting kit

I would never sell an item related to my family.

Nothing personal Appocaylpse, but threads like this, reminds me why I am thinking about selling / donating my entire collection before I die.
There is nothing worse than believing that your collection / personal items will remain in the family and then they are sold off to people that will turn your backpack into fashionable sh*t and ruin a couple of generations worth of history.

    Just my personal opinion.
