I wonder if someone can tell me the difference between a Heer Decal and a Kreigsmarine decal? The helmet I just got has a golden eagle decal.

Heer decal is silver, and Kriegsmarine is gold. If yours is ok it should add a few quid to the value.

Dont forget that over time a heer eagle can become toned and appear to be a golden colour, look carefully at the golden hue does it show an almost metallic gold fleck in the decal

KM decals are 'deep gold' in colour, and as Dave has mentioned above,
Heer decals can become aged and toned so they appear like KM's.
You should post a photo here for all to see what it looks like.

There has been some confusion on these decals within the forum
in the recent past, and it is easy to see why they are
sometimes misidentified.

Are there any particular mfgrs that made the Kriegsmarine helms? My helmet is green overall. Did the Kriegsmarine use green painted helmests?

Hi guys I got this helmet ,I think it is heer but I would like to make sure.
The helmet is a M35 ET 64.
