I got it from a private collector for a fair price. I will take some pictures of the decal in the sunlight, I just spent an hour reading about the differences between Heer and KM decals and this one kinda looks like it sparkles gold in some areas, but time does strange things. also I was looking for a maker mark on the liner band but I have no idea how to begin taking out the liner and I do not want to tear or damage anything, some parts of it seem very fragile, so I will just stare at it on my shelf and smile

I agree with all the comments above. Don't be fussing about with liner
    details - leave it be ! - It's a good lid, don't wreck it.........!
    Regards,

I agree with Steve-it's a fine and straight M40 EF64. It stands just fine on it's own merits the way it is. I wouldn't do a thing to it. Nice pick up.

It's not a KM by a long shot , a KM is really unquestionably dark gold. EF is known for having more toned decals than other makers. It may be confusing but the difference between a toned decal and a KM is big.
