Default Hkp66 M42 brushed camo from Sandviken, Norway

I have had this one for a while. A brushed two tone camo from Ytre Sandviken, near Bergen, Norway. I have corresponded a lot with the original finder of this helmet, and he thinks it comes from one of the Marine Coastal Batteries there (see attached map). I won't belabor the history. To me there is nothing unusual about this helmet. Except perhaps that the green and brick reddish brown paint covers an earlier shipboard grey finish. Which puts it solidly in the KM category IMO, given its provenance. There are initials painted inside the liner, also in this marine grey color. A classic coastal artillery swirl camo.

I just found this cool link to recent pictures of the Sandviken Battery. I have a strong suspicion that this helmet came from this battery, although I cannot prove it. All I know is that it was found in Sandviken.

I've no idea why this one has so few replies, really nice camo there Scott. I am jealous of your woodwork! Not so many KM installations in northern England....
