The liner is mid to late war production out of pigskin. That is why it has a textured look. It is correct for a model 42 helmet.
You have your self a real nice helmet for a very fair price.

Can you post a better sharper close-up of the eagle ? I just like to make sure , I don't think there's anything to be alarmed about but your picture is just not good enough to judge some important details.

Loose rivets for me are not a big deal if everything else is correct, they loosened off during use naturally. Looks good to me, like Frank says a real good closeup of the decal would be nice.
