Just picked up the m42 helmet in trade, thoughts?

Have this incoming, it's just a plan Jane m42 missing learher liner and chin strap, it's a hkp 66, liner band still intact and never been out if helmet, now is the paint correct for this helmet or has it been repainted

Paint looks fine to me. Factory applied with the texture you'd expect IMO.

Thanks I wasn't sure 100% on the paint, only thing I am going to do is ad a original chin strap to it and leave everything as is and it will look great with my m35 heer and m40 Luftwaffe helmets so now I got one of each model for my collection
