Others will chime in, but KM are a very deep gold colour,
with a definite metallic content. Most seen as KM are
naturally aged Heer, which have yellowed
over time.........

Adding to what Steve noted. most M35 KM helmets (I'm guessing this is one from the little Itty-bitty bit of vent rivet I can see) would have a two layer decal. Not something I can see on this decal

I've just gone back to the post and had a look and it's an m40...
As with 95% of supposed KM decals, this is a toned HEER. Leon.
