Ladies and Gentlemen,

What appears to be a M-42 SD kriegsmarine with complete liner just waiting to join my now expanding helmet collection. Total of four currently. I would appreciate the expert's opinions on this and I have many photos to share!

The beak for a start. Looks like one of those jap repro decals no metal content and flat as a pancake

Hi Anzel , that is most definitely not a KM decal. As John has pointed out , there is no metallic content to it , also there is no "3d" effect that KM decals exhibit, sorry. Here's an image of a KM for you to compare with. Leon.

Greetings Anzel! This is not the best copy of the decal! (to put it mildly)
Not similar to any of the known original decals..
You just need to take and compare different versions of famous decals.
Summing resume --- Someone is clearly trying to deceive you. The least we should do is "pass by" the helmet.

Also U 431 was sunk in 43 by depth charge .
