I know it's been discussed in the past but my question is, I recently bought a m-40 that has what appears to be the owners name and maybe his unit written on the liner in two places but are so faint I can't make all of it out, is there anything I can put on it or do to maybe bring it out alittle or should I just leave it alone?

I don't think you should apply anything to the liner, because that will more than likely damage it. I have heard that using a blacklight or something like that can help you see it better.

Here's what I was thinking of. Scroll down to the June 2008 featured helmet on Kelly Hicks' site.

I tried the black light but it did not work for me, maybe i'll try doing the negative thing. Thanks
