Linerband date stamp

Perhaps somebody can assist with a linerband datestamp that I can't make out. What I can see doesn't match any I have on file. The helmet is an M-40, but the linerband is badly rusted and only a small part of the stamp is visible at all. The date, 1943, is clear, but of the wording all I can make out is what seems to be 'N', followed, I think, by 'ererbei....gWZ' That's it. Does this ring a bell with anyone? I'm not sure of a couple of those letters, and several are completly gone. Any thoughts most welcome!
