Lot of 8 German Helmets

Hi Folks,

I am meeting in less than 24hours with a gentleman to potentially work out a deal for this lot of helmets. He has set the initial price at $1800 and would like to sell them as a lot. I spoke to him briefly on the phone and he seems like a nice guy. Small world too... he is the father of a girl I graduated high school with and an administrator at a local high school (not the one I work at).

He seemed opened to working out a deal and said he would consider breaking up the lot for me.

I'll be meeting with him tomorrow after work and he said he was fine with me inspecting them and taking better photos for review.

In the mean time, I thought I'd post the few photos that he provided for review.

I know they're poor quality, but what do you folks think? In general, I'm looking for any help in determining what helmets are worth acquiring and at what price.

Yep, that is what we agreed on. I'll be snapping better photos at like 5:30pm EST tomorrow. I just wanted to post the photos he provided to generate discussion and perhaps give me some "ammunition" for negotiations.

Interesting chin strap set up on that one helmet. I would try and get them all for at most $1500 IMO .

I've never seen a chinstrap like or an ink stamp like the ones pictures here... any ideas, anyone?

The ink stamp looks like a Luftwaffe eagle... flak helper or ground crew, perhaps?

Looking forward to better pics. It really is too hard to give any kind of opinions on any of them. $1800 is too high for this lot. I paid that much for a lot tree times this size and got a few keepers out of it. Sold the rest and actually made back what I spent so I broke even. I don't think you would be able to so that for this price.

Yup! No liners, however... 2 still have the liner bands, at least.
