I also think this is the case and i think with this helmet it is a 'DN' stamp.
I have a Quist helmet which looks very much like an 'I' but is in fact a 'D'.
I like the helmet.

Nice one ! DN was for Q's. that's actually a mis-stamps of DN prefix
