Luftschutz helmet?

Usually I post some pictures and ask opinions without giving mine. I think this helmet is bad. I think the decal is wrong. But just in case I'm wrong, I am posting pics to get some more opinions.

it is a police decal on what appears to be a civic m-34 style helmet,,now whether the decal is good or bad is the question,,,to me the decal is a reproduction/fake,,,

My thoughts too. I don't doubt the helmet too much. But I think the decal is bad. I would be interested if the decal was good, but I don't think so. Does anyone know if there was a shortage of Luftschutz decals and if this type of decal was even used this way?

Any chance of showing the whole helmet,as i think you have a flat rimmed gladiator, which i believe is one of the rarer types found, having said that, the decal could be the Albanian police eagle insignia, which has the silver background within the wreath

The decal is totaly fake,the seller is also selling a RAD helmet for 400$ that is a total fake.

The website you found the helmet is full of junk fakes repo.That website is so bad.
If you are new at collecting I would stay out of that website,I would say 2% of the stuff is good on it.

Hi chris, ill bow to your knowledge on this but can you tell us why its fake, i thought it looks like the albanian decal and the helmet does look period, even though you say there are a lot of fakes on this site

Ok, the Baer book relates to a flat rimmed luftshutze with the decal on the front, so what is being said here, fake or possibly ok, according to my book which i agree could be wrong, german helmets 1933-1945, relates to 4 different types of police eagle insignia, the one here in the thread is described , in my book, as being a large albanian police eagle, that has no border , has a silver interior to the wreath and a black interior to the larger surround, compared side by side i can see no difference, bearing in mind that these books can be misleading, the other variants all are centered on a black shield with one having a silver border to the shield

I see what you are saying,the shell is find I do think it has been repainted at some point,but that decal is new the helmet has rust all over it I just do not see the age of the helmet on the decal.
