This one came in recently from our member JR. Thought I would take it out back & shoot a few new pics. Strap added by me. Very little handling wear. Full textured paint remains.
Thanks for looking, D.

Very nice example, love the paintwork, great colour.
I like it, except for the size of course

Yep, still looks great - lovely texture to the paint and really no flaws at all to the helmet.

Thanks Nick.
For me...it's a perfect un messed with example of a period worn Luft M40. Liner is dated 1940...low lot#. So really not much use from 1940-45. The stretched liner fingers are just wonderful. Possibly a period tie string knot.

The big boys are my favorite as well, just love the 9 fingered liners. Jim G.

Only way to settle this ? Can't be done. If I had a few "toddler" helmets, I would toss them your way !! But I moved them all off to my "toadies" a long time ago.
Very nice lid! Love it.
If I only kept size 66 and larger shells and got rid of the rest, I'd have a small helmet collection... or would I?
