Luftwaffe helmet

I have been offered this Luftwaffe helmet, but I am in doubt, is it real or "just" an M35 with a fake decal ?

M40 you mean , hard to tell if the decal is original from distance.

Yes M40, I will see if I can get a better pic of the decal, perhaps these are better ?

You need to ask for straight on shots 800x600 minimum. No flash in daylight not sunlight, a cloudy day is best - if you can't get those - walk away - as Frank (Guru) has pointed out. It's impossible to tell from that size and angle

yes, i will see if I can get that, there should also be some numbers in it, i have asked for the numbers. Did LW helmets have there own perticular numbers ?

It should be stamped on the side with the decal with the maker & size...& on the rear,,which it is, but I can't read it

Yes, there should be maker and size, I will get the numbers from seller and pics of them !!

John - we're gonna need some close-ups - specifically of the decal.
This would be a must before proceeding with any purchase.

If you really want help, you need to post pictures of the helmet you intend to buy... not a 'similar' one!
