Guys,
Thought I would show this, the chinstrap is slightly redish colour as I once used some Ox blood polish on it when I was bulling my shoes, bit of an error but still nicely unit stamped.

Very nice helmets! But newer use polish to restore leather. If you really want to do that, and if there leather is cracking etc- post it in restoration section and I will give you advice. Here is the thread I've created with leather cleaning
German liner restoring/ leather part cleaning
But anyway I prefer unrestored/ untampered and unaltered items

Jock.....Nice helmets mate, and an even better strap. I use "Neatsfoot oil" for leather restoration. Bet I'm wrong on that
But they are Nice Jock. Thamks
John,
I've got some of that from the Army days of breaking in boots, I might try it on some other leather first though!
Jock
A couple more of the firm stamps and the other M35 shell only, sadly!
Jock
Please don't use Neatsfoot Oil on old leather! It is a really bad thing to do. (Sorry John)
Cheers, Ade.
Ade,
I'll probably just leave it alone!
Jock
Hi Jock, that is best in my honest opinion.
Cheers, Ade.
I agree with Ade!
