M 40 camo helmet? What do you think?

I am not a helmet expert but I would have to agree with Gunny. The wear on the helmet looks like it was done with a tool to artificially age the helmet.

Unless its provenance includes being dragged by a truck along a gravel road for 50+ years, I would have to say that this is a poorly aged fake.

Would you guys say that the entire helmet is a fake (decals, paint, white paint)? Or was this a SD here that someone made a winter camo and then artificially aged?

No expert on decals but it's blatantly artificially aged!..

The guy's are spot on(as usual). As a fake winter cammo goes this is the template!! The wear is completely artificial , look at the "wire wool" scrappings all over the shop. Sorry ,but if you thought this one was even close please do not buy a cammo and spend your hard earned before asking again , it will cost you good money! Leon
