Article about: I really like Political helmets so this was a nice surprise to find at SOS some years ago. Handpainted eagle in the front and part of a "ship home label" on the top dome.

    Helmet is probably from the early 1930's.
    The picture from Bundesarchiv is dated 1931.
    Have no date on the SS / SA picture that is published in Ludwig Baer's German Helmet book.

    Very nice Anders. I like this one a lot also.
    That small bit of a mail home label is also very neat.

    Hi Anders ,that Is a very unusual (and rare) helmet. I must admit that until I saw the period images you provided as well, I never knew this variant existed! Well done on a great find. Leon.
