M16 re-issue?

I have seen this helmet, which I assume to be a M16 shell re-issue or someone replaced/added a liner. I have not seen the stitching line on the side of the liner on any of my searches.

That liner is similar to what was in M34 civil helmets, fire fighters and luftschutz helmets etc during the TR, also seen in post war BGS helmets as well.....

This one looks like a period liner going by the rectangular peices on the liner where the pins are attached, I have several helmets with this type of liner.... I think thi is ok

Thanks for the quick reply. The seller wants $150, is that reasonable with such a poor liner? I have asked for details of any maker size stamps.

If it were me....100-125...but the price is not too outrageous

I'd have it in my collection....lots of character!!!

Hello Alikat
The stitching line is on the side because the liner has been rotated. Look at the positioning
of the perforations in the liner that should be at the front of the helmet.

Helmet looks ok, defiantly been somewhere and done something. Chinstrap is ww1 vintage but liner may be post war because of he peferations. Perferated liners were used in ww2, but in a slightly different style but hard o tell on this angle. Price is ok but as ATMG said, try to get the price down
