M16 Transitional Heer

Gday All,

I dont normally ask for an appraisal, however I have been offered this helmet by a fellow forum member....
We are trying to nut out a fair asking price, I dont know a lot about transitionals!

Would any forum member be able to give a figure as to what this helmet would be worth? The member who owns the helmet doesnt know much about them as its not his main area of collectiing, and I wanna make sure I make a fair offer!

Yeh, she's a very nice lid!!!!

The strap is not compatible to the age of this lid and the liner has been put in reversed. This was not the way it was done at the time.

Some new info, the chinstrap is not of German origin!!!

gday Tony, It looks to me like the liner is spliced with two pieces of leather, the stitched seam is near the chinstrap bale, the seam at the front is the splice
sorry not sure on price as i have never purchased a transitional.
