M16 ventilation holes

Article about: Recently i bought a m16 helmet and i discovered the ventilation holes no are symmatericals, it is normal? I tried to find information but not found i take a pic from above Regards

    By chance would this be a Bell helmet.
    This maker has alot of helmets that were really badly maded.
    It is still a very nice collectible.

    Is it an Austrian M16/17? Austrian helmets often have asymmetrical vents.

    Nothing unusual, so no worries!
    Even happened on later models such as M40s etc...

    This is indicative of Austrian made M16/17/18. No worries and actually a nice idiosyncrasy. Chris, its not a Bell, the vents are rounded on the Bell whereas these are not rounded.

    It'd be awkward using the stirnpanzer if the vents were so cockeyed.
