M16 white Repaint

I was emailed these pictures from the owner. He said it came from a veteran estate a few weeks ago. I know, that's The usually M.O. He thinks it's a whitewash snow Camo. I'm skeptical as always. Trying for more pics. Any thoughts thus far? Thanks!

Odd , the liner band is gone but the split pins remain and appear to be orig to the lid..unless this was repainted with the diff pins later.? Nope, the pins were taken off for sure. The pics are a little shoddy, better ones are needed to be sure.

Maybe Vickers Helmet that is just a thought the color is really weird

I have no idea if we have seen this one before. I know I don't recall it from anywhere. I asked for better pics so we will see what they supply. I also thought it was odd that the pins were present but no liner band. Looks like it may have been reprinted with the pins in but no liner band.

I've seen some like this that were resold to countries in the middle east, I don't understand the color

If I remember correctly, some thought it to have been used as a paint bucket.
