    Hi,

Possible purchase, could it be the real thing?
    I'm missing the ET64 mark.

    Thanks

are the holders for the chinstrap attached directly to the liner?

Going to take a guess & say it is correct. The proportions of the shell "dip" from the pics provided look right.
The liner appears to be an original M31 wartime steel band.

A few pics of mine to compare

Hi, personally I have never studied this variant of helmet, but I too like what I am seeing. It appears to be a classic "barn find" in condition, what there is of the decal looks original, so the steel is 99% likely to be good as well, and as David rightly points out, it has the earlier non re-enforced liner band, so that has not been just "dropped in". All in all I think it is good ( for what it's worth ). Leon.

The ET stamp is not always visible. I can't see mine either.
Looks like the real deal to me too.
