Default M18 Luftwaffe Transitional w/ Droop Tail Adler

This is an M18 Transitional Luftwaffe Helmet with a an early droop tail adler. After service in The Great War as a standard M18, it was brush painted smooth green inside and out and probably reissued as a DD Heer, the later brush painted Luftwaffe blue/grey on the exterior only, redecaled as it is now, and reissued for its third tour of duty. Not in the best of shape, but a rare bird.(pun intended of course). I hope you like it, Jim G.
PS - Ade, Is there any way to control the order of the pictures, or reorder them once they have loaded, as I never seem to be able to control it and the order in which they appear ir certainly distracting. Thanks in advance for any guidance that you can shed, Jim G.

Hi Jim, nice lid. (AS per usual!)

You can arrange the pics by dragging them into order.

    Cheers, Ade.

Interesting because it's not a factory droop tail eagle but a type used on parade helmets

I am glad you posted that information. The decal had me stumped.
    Nice helmet.

how can you differentiate a factory droop tail eagle decal as opposed the "parade helmet" variety...are you saying that the parade helmet types were not made in a factory but somewhere else?

Only one of the helmet makers used a droop tail eagle so far and it's one with a different design .
Not only factories reissued helmets and when this was done elsewhere , usualy decals were of other specific types (FE: subdued Lw green/blue HJ , Heer Strache, Peiniger etc..)
