M18 mit Ohren Ausschnitt

I am playing with the idea of getting thise one.
(Still in function of the master plan of the up-grading of the collection and to replace my ground dug one!)
Just wanted to hear what you guy's opinion is on thise helmet!?

Is there a maker stamp (ET) and a lot number in the dome?

No there is none! Only the chinstrap is marked....

I can't tell if the paint is period, but the shell looks absolutely right to me, it is a 64 (from the stepped vent lugs) and the flare is perfect. Just my opinion. Jim G.

From what I can see i'm thinking repainted, i'm pretty sure i can see a hair from a paint brush in the dome, but as Jim says, the flare looks to be just right, also the liner pin that you can see appears to be untouched, ie not rebent into place, its a bit confusing really especially as theres no markings, could this be a very elaborate replica and if it is its a bloody good one

Hello All
The shell looks perfectly in proportion, totally unlike the reproductions of these that you see. The fact that there are
no markings is a bit of a worry & as Dave has already said, if this is indeed a fake then the fakers have certainly done
their homework with this one.
