M18 Reissue - Ventless - SD Heer

This is the ventless M18 that I missed at a gun show several weeks ago. The guy who bought it at the show is a friend of mine. This weekend we got together with a couple of other helmet collectors and to my surprise, and good fortune, he offered it to me at a very fair price. Well, here it is. The decal has all but disappeared, but you can still tell it was a SD Heer. As with all ventless M18's that I have seen there is no maker/size stamp. Maybe they stopped doing that late during the Great War? It has a reinforced aluminum banded liner and a slightly shortened chin strap with a funky rivet on the short end. One thing that I find interesting that I hadn't noticed until I got home Saturday is the single digit number stamped into the rear of the apron - number "1"!!! Well, here it is, hope you like it.
