Looks like a good honest lid. What's the maker? Looks like a Quist or ET shell. Great helmet! Would love to see more pics and much closer.

thanks for your comments, its a Q64 very solid and heavy, chin strap is in good condition, very good paint and texture and I just love the decal its nearly perfect in good light you can still see the lacquer, probably why the decal is still in such good condition.. this is my first non relic helmet and I cant stop looking at it. It is well worth saving up for the right lid from the right source in my opinion. I'm hoping to have one good helmet from each branch and them some camo helmets and one day an SS. When time permits will take some better pictures.

Quist lids tend to be heavy I think. They have very good texture also. They will keep you coming back to look at it lol. They are a beautiful lid.

That is a very nice example, just the standard I would be looking for when I upgrade my current Lufty lid.
