M1940 Luftwaffe SD and a M1942 SD Police

Article about: Hello again, I have an opportunity to purchase these two helmets from 1 person and suspect I could get a killer deal if I buy them both. The Police is stamped kp68. Late war production M42 p

    I took this quote from

    "In some rare cases, Field Police helmets can be found bearing only the eagle decal. The assumption being that two decals were unavailable at the time of application, or that the National Socialist Party decal had been painted over during a field repaint or camouflage effort on the part of the individual soldier or his unit."

    Perhaps this is what we are looking at here, being the party decal was unavailable?

    A few more shots of the Police. I wanted to see the non-decal side and see if there was any evidence of another decal, doesn't look like it though.
