    here are some pictures of a beat up helmet. My question is whats it worth? almost look like relic condition. The liner is dry. But it's named. My last question is should I put some conditioner on the leather liner? its dry and fragile....thanks!!Click image for larger version.

    Nice no decal M42 Collin.
    Looks like it has been in a hot attic or barn all of the last 70 years.
    Nothing you can do to help the liner. .. just keep it safe on display out of reach of children! !

    Not the best condition but still a great helmet, I like it.

    well if you bin through what this helmet did, you wouldn't be in the best condition either. With all respect !

    Hi Colin, a good piece of honest history in that M42 helmet. I am afraid there is nothing you can do to help the leather now apart from carefully look after it, don't put it back in the barn for safe keeping! Leon.
