Here is my M-40 some type of damage when it comes to these who knows bullett, schrapnel, post war? No one knows most think this one had a bullett strike. Is your liner band damaged much it doesn't look like it strange. But who will know. timoty

It is entirely possible that the liner has been replaced. ( The damage to shell
and liner band, although they are aligned, do not make sense. One hole
is an entry and the other an exit. The large entry in the rear should
have corresponding damage on the liner band, and perhaps
    the leather as well. )

    Steve.
