Default M35 DD Luft original or Fake

Hello guys and friends of Militaria,

This luftwaffe M35 was offered to me
you can see were the eagle was and the tricolore
The helmet was made by ET in size 66 with the lot 2814
It seems to have reissued into WW2 and someone digged out the shield
The helmet is complete with liner and 1939 dated chinstrap
I hope the pictures were good
The seller said that it was complete original
I am want a second opinion on this example
What do you say to this helmet?
    Is it complete original?
I am thankful for all comments and ideas

    Best regards from Munic

Hi Bavarian, in my opinion - one to walk away from - has been messed with. The paint, especially inside, is new and does not look period at all.

    Thank you andy
To the parts were they original?
    Or postwar
Because the price for that this one offered to me was very good
I think too that it was oiled
I can use the parts to complete other examples
    Regards

I´ve seen that helmet for a while now, i think it has its reasons that its not getting sold. It looks very odd and i would also stay away from it.

    Regards,

Just ask yourself a question if are you a parts collector or do you want to have nice authentic helmets on your shelf ?
This helmet is just horribly messed with.

What is a good price ? For me it would have to be 0 euros. :-)

Hi, to be honest I would advise passing on any helmet with "dug out" decals, they simply are not appealing to my mind and many other collectors opinion. Leon.

    Hello
I bought it for 180€ as partscollection
In the US the helmetprices were not so high than here in germany
For bsp.(M42 SD Luftwaffe in good condition 1700€)
I am a student and have not so many money
I think I made a good deal for that
    Best regards

A M42 SD for 1700 Euros? No way, thats a fraud. 180 Euros is Okay i would say, it was on Ebay for 280 so you traded him good down.
But i´m also a student in germany and i´m also looking for Luftwaffe Helmets, if you search enough, including our EU Neigbours, you´ll find some good looking pieces for 400-500 Euros, thats what i´m aiming at.

I agree with Adravor, €1700 is robbery no matter what country you live in. (The interesting thing is that besides me, everyone who replied is not from the US. )
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them
