M35 Shell Size Question
I have an M35 Shell that I'd like to restore, but I can't make out the shell size due to the pitting. Is there a way to determine the size? Please don't tell me that I'm wasting my time (like some genius at Axis History Forum) by putting an original liner into a relic helmet. I've been collecting for over 30 yrs and am no newbie...but this is the first time I've encountered this issue. Thanks guys!

Re: M35 Shell Size Question
Yes, it can be difficult but do you have another m35 to compare it to? Or as Dimas has said measure the inside circumference. A size 66cm would be approx. 26", 64cm = 25.2", 62cm = 24.2"
I hope this helps.

Re: M35 Shell Size Question
The outside measures 66cm...Please let me know what size liner-band I'll need... Thanks everyone for the assistance!!

Re: M35 Shell Size Question
Hi, you will need either a size 58 or 59 liner and band. Both sizes fit this helmet. The band will be marked for what size the helmet fits.

Its your helmet do what you want to it. Don't let someone make you feel your doing something stupid or wrong because its not in their taste.
