The spray painted areas seem way to fine in my opinion, almost a model airbrush look to it

These helmets are always a mine field, that is why for the most part a stay away from camo's, fake are getting so good. I hold the helmet and have said it's not real and then I pick it up again and say it looks good. My gut feeling has not told me to run and run fast. And I know from the barn find thread concerning sprayed helmets. The did not comment then, but they did spray a lot of helmets and examples can be seen with brush and spray on the same helmet.

I would like to see a youtube tutorial on how one can be made so convincing.
I know I haven't the skill to weather a new paint job to look like this.
Of course it wont happen for fear of "arming" the fakers.... but still these turn up??
fake or real...?
H'mm.

First photo and it was a no from me , it's not that good a camo. Just does not have the right tone of color and wear.
What was the seller asking ?

Not one that I feel good with, the bright color in particular doesn't seem right. Like u say these are a minefield Marty.

Hi, from these images, I would not be happy with it myself, the wear does look convincing but the shade of the red paint appears too bright and "shocking" to me. Maybe it is just the lighting, but as it stands I too would pass on this one. Leon.
