    Default M35 re-issue

Hello everyone, a great rarity that I post in this part of the forum. However I have been looking for a nice possibly combat worn helmet as a representative example. This one recently came up for sale at what I believe to be a reasonable price. It shows just about the amount of wear I have been looking for both on the shell ( SE68 lot 3206) and to the liner. The liner band is dated 1937 however is damaged and the tip of the chinstrap is also missing. As a nice addition the remains of the national shield can be seen peeking from beneath the re-paint.

    Thanks for looking

    Robin

Hi Robin, I have seen this one myself in the past (can't remember where) and it is indeed a fine example of an over paint. A lovely lid with great age patina, a super helmet to have in your collection. Leon.
