I liked it the other day....And I still like it now. Though I may be in a minority.

I don't know wire helmets but in my opinion on the inside of the helmet there is is a big patch of old dark rust not new active bright rust. In that rust there are breaks at every point where the wire is touching the helmet. You can notice it in more areas than just where the wire is being held back (pic 4). The same coating that has protected the wire all these years from rust has also protected those small areas on the helmet. That rust is old and I don't see how that could be faked. Plus that nice ghosting. Plus although I have not bought a helmet from Ken but all of his opinions and comments on another forum show his knowledge. I like this helmet and from reading the other thread on this helmet I feel bad for Ken in this situation.

In defense of Ken, I bought this helmet along with the M40 SS which turned out to be right, so I don't see why this isn't right as well.
I like it but don't need the aggravation. I only posted it again because I was asked to.

A lot of people don't like the wire, it got beat up pretty good here earlier and on WAF and AHF. Ken posted it on GHW and I think most liked it there but I can't remember 100%. Ken's pretty good with wires. I plead the 5th, I would want to see it in hand, it's not in my Cup of tea "one looker" comfort zone but that can change in hand.

    Paul,
I'm lucky I can type! But I'm glad that's finally been understood.

    Hi Doug,
Like I said, i bot it from Ken along with the SS and that was good so why should the wire not be as well?
That is the only helmet from my stuff that I want to sell...too much aggravation.
