M40 DAK/Mediterranean Camo Stahlhelm--Opinions Wanted

Hey all.

Look at what appears to be a DAK camouflaged, Heer M40 helmet: GERMAN WW2 M40 ARMY HELMET - eBay (item 180590577254 end time Nov-28-10 09:50:00 PST)

And while the camo certainly isn't perfect, its hue is somewhat similar to this stellar example on German-Helmets.com: German-Helmets.com

So what's your opinion? Real or fake? A reply would be nice

I am going to go out on a limb and say that it looks like it has potential but I do not trust the M42 that he has for sale. I don't know for sure.

Maybe it's 100% correct but my anti-Ebay bias is affecting my opinion...

Yeah, that M42 looks like it has been hit with a spray can of black and then a grey primer?

Can't comment on the M40 though...

That helmet was on gun broker a couple of weeks ago ,I pass on it and now it is on Ebay.
I would pass on it again.
