Hi, i've had this for a while and there's one question that never really has been answered. Yes, this is a Finnish issued and I think this one never has been used by the Germans. I thought maybe you guys here are able to help me anyway?

The paint is very rough and almost looks like some kind of camoflage or am I just wrong? Is there just that the paint is lossing? It reminds me a little of a German camoflage type. The paint itself looks ww2 as one can see traces of a bigger type of rivet used and when the Finnish liner was replaced they switched to the typical Finnish smaller model rivet.

The shell is big marked EF66 lotnr:50

    Thanks/ AlM40 ef66M40 ef66M40 ef66M40 ef66

It's a reissue paint that's been used and abused. Not a camo.

post war mounted liner as well. Not one you need to keep in your collection.

Yes I knew that the liner was post-war Finnish.

looks very similiar to the type of helmets that the West German Border Guards used with the post war added liner & strap

they are still interesting variations of the reissued German helmet for collecting
