    Today i got my second Heer helmet in nice combat vet with a lot of character, i only have to find a nice chinstrap and the lid is complete.. what kind of chinstrap do you guys recommend for this M40?

    Haha, hard to tell from the photos but the vent looks very similar to your other lid on the last photo (obviously you know best with it in hand)
    M40 Would look good with a nice steel buckled chinstrap with similar wear to the liner leather
    Good luck with finding a nice M42 Heer mate, next can be the SS family

    Funny, that's what I thought too....? It's finish and overall look seem very M35 but I couldn't see the vent bushing very well. Nice snag regardless.

    Just saw the bushing shot, nice M40!
